Shadowtraders Down Under

I will talk about my experiences.

Where I do start....hmmm... First off it does work!

I am a Shadow Traders user and trade live. I trade a small number of contracts right now but I do trade live. I signed up for the online course back in February as soon as it came out. I had a friend in the USA who introduced me to it. The attended the live seminar. They are so conservative financially that if they said it was a good thing I had to check it out. Being in NZ it wasn't as good an option for me to attend a live seminar plus I wanted to be able to run through the course again and again to make sure I had it down.

You are not just buying software or some notes, you are buying a full solution that will take you from zero knowledge to everything you need to know (except combat experience) to be successful. There are tons of trading solutions out there. Most supply only the nuts and bolts (if they are even among the few winning strategies) but you also need to have some prior knowledge to implement it yourself. Shadow Traders will tell you more than just nuts and bolts. You get a complete knowledge and understanding of trading. I can teach you how to play poker but that doesn't mean you can win. Shadow Traders teaches you how to win. This is a big difference.

But it doesn't stop there. If you think you just buy it and get left standing you would be way wrong. Every trading day there is an online session where you can listen to the experts as to what is happening before the market open and after it opens. You get a blow by blow to understand what is happening and why from experienced professionals. Normally this is Barb and she is in a word fantastic. This is priceless and it's value can't be underestimated!!! You don't just listen but can ask live questions about what is happening. It is like a live classroom every trading day with a super experienced teacher. You get to listen to other people ask questions so you learn from others as well.

You also become part of a group who trade like you do and understand your issues and questions. This network of people allows you to become friends with other people who share a common interest.Unless you were in the trading business you would never meet other people who trade or much less trade the same methods as you. I have made several friends from the forum and "chatroom" (but remember this is live talk and listen. You can type messages but most people talk). We share ideas or offer support to each other. We are all at different levels of expertise but still learn from each other. We are not in competition with each other so we can openly share ideas. It is part of the benefits being in the Shadow Traders family.

In terms of being in our time zone I will pass on some experiences. It has it's good and bad. The bad part is working late in the night. The good part is working in the night. I will try to explain.

Late at night there is less traffic on the Internet so things are faster. This is important as you need a good fast Internet connection. It would be slower during the working day or even evening when people are home so you benefit. Also if you are working a regular job you can trade at night without impacting your normal job. If you think you will trade 8 hours per day you would be wrong. You just can't stay focused that long (at least I can't) plus you don't need to. Each person can vary but for myself I work about 3 hours. 1 hour is prep/planning my trading day while I listen to Barb explain what is going on in the market and why. She also explains what you might expect during the day. You get an experts invaluable insight. You learn to understand things that would take you years (and cost you thousands) without a mentor. After 1 1/2 hours trading I am done. Yep you heard it. I only trade in the market for an hour and a half. I can trade longer if I want but I don't. I then spend 1/2 an hour of postmortem where I analyze my trades and write my findings and emotions in my day book or journal. It is like going to confession.

From a broker point there is no issue with being overseas. You open up a USA trading account and wire your trading funds. If you want to take some profit home they wire it to your bank. You can do this either as an individual or a company. Shadow Traders isn't a broker they are your mentor and teachers. They don't have anything to do with your money or live trading profits.

I could go into great detail about the actual content of the course and some of the real juicy bits but I don't want to get hung up by my thumbs.Plus Barb and Jim are truly great people and I want to protect their intellectual property. They are not money hungry get rich quick people. Barb is sooooooooo conservative in her trading style which I really like. Just know there is a lot there including reading material, lots of movies, drills, and not to forget some absolutely priceless software that helps your trading or to be more accurate your profit.

I am not sure if I answered anything you wanted to know in my above dribble. Just know I am a satisfied Shadow Traders customer who operates from the same region you are in so I understand the far away and time issues you will have as well. I also learned using the online course.
